It’s a great reminder…
Friendly reminder: Carlisle & Esme and Rosalie & Emmett are the Cullen couples who have been together the longest.
People keep saying that Carlisle looks at Esme when he says he has something to fight for, and that’s partly true. But what we actually see is Esme, Rosalie and Emmett. Just like Edward looks at Bella and Renesmee, Carlisle looks at Esme AND their ‘kids.’
He’s not just fighting for Esme, it’s for the whole family. That’s why he tries to save Alice.

Rosalie how did you feel when you learned of Bella's pregnancy and then subsequently when she asked for your help? |
Well, at the beginning I was in shock. First because I never knew vampires could procreate with humans, I never thought of the possibility. Then because everybody knows I didn’t liked Bella that much, so, why would she asked me for help? After giving it a thought, I understood why she did it: I was the only one who knew how much she wanted that baby, because it was a miracle. And also because I understood that she trusted me to take care of the baby if she died or while she was in her process of transformation.
I will always thank her for giving me a trust that I never earned.
